Westfield reports staff changes at the Standard Oil station with J F McVay taking charge and Charles Johnson leaving for South Dakota. Albert Buckingham of Morningside College earns Who's Who honors as a senior and All North Central Conference end. Local visits, club activities, guild affairs, and Christmas planning fill the week as Westfield High teams post a winning streak in basketball against Elk Point Jefferson and Hudson, with Ireton to follow.
Special correspondence from Milnerville reports Billy Hunter visiting Sioux City and staying with his grandmother, a tour with teacher Miss Rich, and Dale Hunter traveling to Des Moines for family visits. Also mentions Mrs. Lawrence funeral in Montana, stock shipments to Sioux City, a Beaulieu family reunion, church fund raiser, and community updates on weather, weddings, and local activities.
Mrs. Jnok Lucken returned from LeMars where she had served on the jury. A committee will chair the regular Ladies Aid meeting Thursday afternoon at the Ned Spaulding home. A miscellanous shower will honor Miss Shirley Lilly on her engagement to Jas. Mansfield.
Union Creek News notes Sunday worship at 11 o'clock with Sunday school at 10 o'clock and a Sunday school practice for children on Saturday at 1 30. The Luther League will meet Tuesday evening at the Hall and the annual meeting will be part of the Christmas party with all attendees asked to bring 10 cent gifts.
