Frank Sayles sustains head injuries when his coat tangled in a gas engine flywheel. a doctor treated him. December 1926 brings three inches of snow ending a mild November. George Knecht, November 27, 1925. A daughter born to Floyd and Mrs. Nelson of Westfield on November 30, 1926. Auction ads from Lester Raish, Frank Jacobs and Eilert Ludwigs. Ceiling plaster damages dining room at Chas Kanage home. Died Mrs. William Siemon, 55, a pioneer Akron resident, November 28, 1925. survived by husband, two sons, two daughters, ten grandchildren, five brothers, two sisters. Funeral at St Patrick’s Catholic Church and burial in the church cemetery.

Old residents observed a Bath wedding anniversary on November 29 1916 at their home. Bert Rolfe lost a hand in a corn husker accident near Richland and was taken to Ak ron Hospital. Louis Springer went to Beloit Kansas after his father’s death. C P Vargason resigned as nightwatchman with L Bar ington succeeding him. A daughter was born to Mr and Mrs P Culhane on November 27 1915. Threshing and corn picking neared completion. F L Kirton sold his grocery and confectionery business to Harry Cohen of Sioux City. E P and J B Klauer learned of their mother’s death in Dubuque Iowa and attended the funeral there. Akron town team beat Hudson 41 to 9 in opera house basketball. A H S girls lost at Hawarden 138 to 9. Editor and Mrs Wesley M Smith of Lennox South Carolina visited relatives for Thanksgiving.
