Jim Moller returned home Friday from a trip with Colin Collmann in the western states to California. G Moller joined Mrs. Smith of Hawarden for a Sioux City business trip. Friday visitors to the Henry Collmanns included Fred Popken from Akron. Saturday luncheon guests were James Gabel and Leo Gabel plus Aron Gale, Jack Lake, and Mrs. G. Moller. A neighborhood gathering honored newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. J. Ludwigs with a basket supper and luncheon. Wes Crow and Charles Hendricks visited Akron businesses. Other residents hosted relatives and friends from Cambridge Minnesota, Beadle and Bath South Dakota, Sioux City, and Fort Wayne Indiana. The 40th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Plueger at Grant Township Lutheran church drew H. Ludwigs, Mrs. Ludwigs, and Mrs. Clara Sattthoff's family. Various trips to Mendin Nebraska and Lake Okoboji were noted along with visits by the Dennisons, Tentingers, Green, Tweed, Knutsen, and Treton’s John Van Wyhe.

Mrs. Louis L. Schumacher 75 of 1001 Nebraska St died Wednesday after a month long illness in a Sioux City hospital. Funeral at 9:00 a.m. Friday at Cathedral of the Epiphany with Rt. Rev. Msgr. L J Hoffman officiating. Burial in Logan Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons Tom Farrell Joe Gorman Steven Douglas Mark Schumacher and Don Schumacher. She was born Marie I Dagliesh November 27 1897 in Chatsworth Iowa and lived in Sioux City 50 years. She married Louis Schumacher August 12 1921 in Sioux City. Survived by widower two sons Dan of Glendale California and Dean of Iowa City a daughter Shirley Farrell of Sioux City a brother Charles E Spike Dalgiesh and three sisters Aan Lamoureux Marcella Vanderham and Josephine Adams nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
