A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Chas Boden west of town on Sunday August 26 1906. A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Baldwin southeast of town on Tuesday September 4 1906.

Tucker Port Wedding in Akron Iowa September 1906

John W. Tucker and Miss Elsie B Port wed at the bride’s home in Akron Iowa with Rev F L Moore officiating. The ceremony occurred Wednesday at eight, followed by a lawn supper illuminated by Japanese lanterns and a shiveree party. The couple, from prominent Akron families, plan to reside with the bride’s parents.
