School Budget and Bids Set for 1965 66 Year
The board agreed on a proposed 1965 66 budget and no school on Labor Day. Gas and fuel oil bids were opened with Westfield Oil Co. offering gas 13.6 and fuel oil 10.69 while Standard Oil Co. offered gas 13.14 and fuel oil 10.67. A motion approved accepting Westfield fuel oil at 10.69 and Standard Gas at 13.14. A new adding machine was bought for the Secretary. Harley Arnett was hired as Maintenance Bus Man for the year. Judges and Clerks were selected for the September 13 election from 12 7 PM.

Ivyl Knapp and Roy Bliss families visit Mr and Mrs Robert Bliss and boys in Muleshoe Texas. Welch reunion picnic is set for Sunday September 4 at the Legion Hall in Akron Ta. Bob Welch spent four days with his parents in Kansas City Mo. Rae Marie Jordan visits grandparents Ray Welch and wife.
