Social visits mark weekend at Craig area homes

Mr and Mrs Leonard Miller and daughter Darlene were Sunday dinner guests at the Harry Buehre home. Mr and Mrs John Kallsen spent Monday evening at the Ben Tock home. Abe Miller was reminded of his birthday Sunday evening. At midnight a lunch was served. Mrs Henry Buehre visited Roy Sampson home near Craig. Evelyn Jeffers returned home after weeks in LeMars. Thelma Douglas from Webster City came to visit Lambert Jeffers family. Mrs Leonard Miller and daughter and Mrs Clare Morehead and sons visited Fred Lucken home Tuesday afternoon. Mrs Gerhard Wilken hosted the Preston township Ladies at her home Wednesday afternoon.

Eva Gabel suffered a painful hand injury from barb wire last week.

Widow of Plymouth County settler dies at 92 in Wessington

Mrs. John Ross, early Plymouth County settler, died July 20 at her home in Wessington D. D. at age 92. Born in Nova Scotia, she came with her husband to LeMars in 1881 and settled on a farm near Crathorne. Her husband died fourteen years ago. She
