Kroeger of Henry township won 317 votes, while incumbent Hess had 78 in area No 1. Area No 2 keeps H Hoyt as carry over member. Area No 3 sees Norman Barker of Prenton township with 169 votes and write-in Gordon Brodie with 96. Area No 4 Harold Johnson of the Akron Independent district led with 614. Agnes Held, long-serving area No 4 member, did not seek re-election. Nelson Brown remains director at large.
