Walter Cassel Visits Family in Alta and Nearby Activities

Walter Cassel arrives from Yankton for a several day stay with his parents and relatives in the area. The community notes a Ladies Aid meeting, church activities, birthdays, and guests visiting from Sioux City and Des Moines, with school events and local social gatherings filling the week.

Westfield High Students Host Home Economics Party

Westfield High School students joined the Home Economics club for a Thursday evening social in Community Hall on April 2. The event funded curtains for the Home Economics room and featured refreshments after entertainment. Miss Alice Vant Hof sponsors the club. Plymouth county nurse Miss Hazel Roberts spoke to Civics on first aid to reduce fatalities, while Supt. G P Littelle leads highway safety studies. Seniors begin work on the play The White Elephant.
