Plymouth County Signs Up 1508 Farms for 1963 Feed Grain Program
As of March 28 Plymouth County farmers totaling 1,508 have joined the 1963 feed grain program. Chairman Raymond J. Becker reports 39,716 acres diverted from corn, sorghum, and barley from base acreages of 162,048. Estimated payments total 668,549 dollars, not including fall price-support payments. National totals show 642,885 farms signed to divert 18,126,000 acres with 235,813,300 dollars in expected payments.
