Atlantic City Sept 25 Speaker Henderson critiqued party leaders warning against false paths. He said withdrawing would not split the Republicans and condemned certain leaders for aligning with free trade to threaten trusts. He urged the country to seek remedies other than the paths proposed by Gov. Cumming.
Chicago authorities raided a matrimonial bureau pairing heiresses with wealthy bachelors. Officers seized mostly telegrams and arrested proprietors amid claims the firm advertised as incorporated without records. The agencies allegedly offered herbal medicines, stock tips, and racing tips as extra profit.
WN C T cars run over Mill street crossing after tracks replaced Wednesday evening at eight. Superintendent W H Douglas of the 8 0 t Co says officials gave consent and his men were not interfered with during the work. Cars are now passing over the crossing as before.
Ak ron Communutory No 25 Knights Templar hosted a farewell banquet for Sir Knights O W Clarke and 7 W Lyder Jr at the Magente club rooms. About 60 attended as impromptu addresses were given. Lyder departs for Duluth where he was formerly Akron Trust Co secretary. Clarke goes to Pittsburgh after serving as general agent for the Erle road.
The Ashland and Wooster railway will soon add a new truck extending 17 miles, linking with the Big Four, the B. and O, and the Northern Ohio. This addition by Mr. H. B. Camp’s road promises a significant expansion of the line and a strengthened transport route.
Construction plans outline an extension from the Ashland terminus to New London Ohio crossing and connecting with the B and O at Hereford and with the Big Four and Northern Ohio at New London. Grading and bridge work will likely start in October and continue to completion as soon as feasible.

Barberton expects 1000 400 brick to be laid for the Pittsburg Valve and Fittings Co plant within 30 days. Sixteen new bricklayers joined this week, bringing total workers to eighty on the factory. Architects are drawing plans for ten new brick homes and more residences to follow, all brick.

The annual United Evangelical church conference began in the First United church amid poor weather. Bishop Dubs chaired sessions, urged prayer meeting attendance, and pressed discipline for outsiders attending communion without church membership. Delegates registered include Rev. W B Bailey and Rev J A Johnston among others from Lancaster and Columbus.
In Philadelphia on September 25 an anti Quay coalition including the Union party Wanamaker faction and Allegheny County Republicans organized efforts in most Legislative and Senate districts to defeat Quay backed candidates and block Senator Quay's election. Senator Quay left Philadelphia for his Beaver home and will miss Pennypacker’s city kickoff. Governor Stone visited Locust Street headquarters yesterday but did not discuss strikes. reform meetings began with Judge Pennypacker addressing the Workingmen's Protective Tariff League at Textile Hall followed by a banquet for the candidate.
In Washington on September 25 Frank J. McKee, 20, a Philadelphia native living at the Golden Eagle hotel in New Jersey, detonated dynamite at 4:30 AM, destroying the building and killing himself with a pistol. The blast hurt proprietor Louis Brandt and his wife who fled to the cellar. McKee was driven by alleged social slight involving Brandt’s daughter. He had confided losses from racing and a buildup of drinking. The dynamite was in a vacant room above the couple’s chamber. all other guests escaped unharmed.
The Canton Akron Line announces that new cars will be in operation by Monday and a revised schedule is expected to be released soon.

The Mth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Geo Swinehart was celebrated at their home near Uniontown on Tuesday September 28. About 75 attended with grandchildren and relatives from Akron Springfield and Burr Oak. Gifts from pastor Rev Beam and a music program highlighted the event as they hope to celebrate their diamond anniversary in 1927.
Delaware Marshal W B Matthews asks local police to locate Webb Slack, wanted for aiding four minor citizens. Slack reportedly left Angus with a young woman, traveling in a spring wagon drawn by two horses, possibly living in a wagon, and dealing in rage and junk.
