William Mitchell fifty says 60 year old bridge foreman for the Erie Railway Co was struck by freight No 777 and hurled down an embankment near Renner brewery Friday at 10 o clock. He died at once. Mitchell supervised a bridge crew and stepped aside as the train approached. The engineer saw him but did not act in time. Mitchell’s skull was fractured and his right leg nearly severed. Remains were taken to Parks morgue. relatives in Gallon notified. Coroner Lalman reported the death.
