Death of ex councilman Harley Homan in Cleveland
Harley Homan was found dead in a hotel room in Cleveland Sunday night with an empty carbolic acid bottle and a diluted cup nearby. Deputy Coroner West ruled it a suicide and the body was moved to the county morgue. Homan, 52, had recently traveled through Canton and Cleveland seeking business opportunities after selling his stake in Spalding Burner Co. and resigning from the American Cereal Co. He left Akron about a week earlier and was married to Mrs. Homan, who, with their son Earl, traveled to Cleveland after learning of his death.
