Mrs Charles McGuckin was shot in the thigh on her porch at 605 North Howard Street as John Bottleheimer fired from a 22 caliber revolver at youths nearby. The bullet pierced her thigh and caused profuse bleeding. Bottleheimer was arrested and arraigned on the charge of shooting with intent to wound.
