Remarkable Coincidence Marks Deaths of Two Men

Two lifelong English friends, Samuel Wall and Albert W Barnes, died within hours of each other after decades of partnership in Akron area contracting. Wall, 41 years, 8 months, 7 days, lived at 4251 Park Ave. Barnes, 65 years, 8 months, 11 days, at 116 Lincoln Ave. Both members of local churches and Masonic orders. A double funeral is planned at St Pauls Episcopal Church on Horlock Wednesday morning, with interment to follow at the city grave.

Judge TD Nye Named Candidate to Succeed Marvin

A Cleveland newspaper announced on Monday that Judge TD Nye of Myvi will seek to succeed Judge A J Marvin on the Circuit bench. The nominating convention is set for next September, and Marvin will run for re election.

Mrs W F Stickle addressed pupils Monday afternoon as Maby out-of-town knowte wore pronont anti YH couplin enjoyed the damming. Mrs Gus smith spoke for the pupils and Prof Stickle with a cut lan matar. The Neat masquerade by KONA dancing academy drew 180 couples on Christmas night. Prizes for best costumes awarded to Laure Banbury Ginger Tad Mr Hoo Walt Uncle Bam Allyn Blohelberg clown and Dore Humphrey. A matinee dance followed with 80 attendees.

Yule Tide exercises and German societies events

Akron's German societies held Christmas programming and dances at various halls. Schwaben Verein elected officers including president Gov. Kook. many committees listed. Other groups staged Christmas trees, dances, and concerts with ensembles from Sonner's and various local musicians. Attendance described as good, with multiple halls hosting festivities and charitable or benevolent recitals planned for late December and January.

Suspected Wire Robber Kolb Arrested in Columbus

Charles E Kolb was arrested by Columbus detectives on suspicion of wire thefts. He and accomplice John Corbin were found with 200 pounds of copper wire in a Secondhand store. Corbin identified by Kilbourne. both taken to city prison. Police seek wire origin and owner. Kolb claims Pennsylvanian father and travels widely.
