Attempted suicide by Minnie Pleischmann in Cincinnati home

Special to the Democrat from Cincinnati reports Mrs Minnie Pleischmann wife of Abs Pleischmann of Akron attempted self harm at her home this morning by taking poison. The attempt failed and she is expected to live. She is 20 years old and has been an invalid since age 20, recently undergoing a critical operation. Family troubles and health are cited as causes. Her husband is said to wish to adopt a child and her relatives note financial and personal strains. Her mother and sisters are in the city and had no warning of the act.

Veteran German born General Franz Sigel died at his home 56% Mott Street in New York City after a two year illness.
