Farmer's Plight After Ride From Sharon Center
S. J. L. Shade, a Sharon Center farmer, rode to Akron on a gray mare then exchanged it for a black gelding. He drank, became helpless, sold the horse for 75 dollars to Thorns P. Howland, a blacksmith, and disposed of his harness for 6 cents. That evening he slept in the Empire livery barn hay mow and awoke to missing shoes, wandering barefoot until finding footwear.

Queer Mishap Breaks in Akron Car Pound Register
A fare register in an Akron Silver Lake car fell Wednesday afternoon striking Miss Mabel L. Young on the head. The 12 pound mechanism cut through her hat and caused a severe scalp wound requiring several stitches. Dr. J P Boyd treated her. Ex City Commissioner Henry Young postponed his Pittsburgh drive due to the injury.

Fire destroys Greentown home of Herman Graybill
Fire completely destroyed the residence of Herman Graybill near Greentown on Wednesday. Only a few contents saved. Estimated loss about $2000. The family except a young son was away. a straw-filled stove and matches started the blaze. Sparks burning the roof were detected after some delay as neighbors struggled to save belongings.

Patrick Coughlin of 148 Sherman Jr aged 31 died at city hospital at 1 o clock Wednesday from injuries sustained Monday in a crushing accident at Webster Camp Lane machine shop.
