Outlaw Tracy Dead by His Own Hand in Hideout Finale

Spokane Washington August reports detail outlaw Harry Tracy committing suicide after a long pursuit and gun battle with a posse near Creston. Tracy, wounded twice, stood atop terrain commanding sightlines before placing a heavy pistol to his head and pulling the trigger, dying at the posse’s feet as officers pressed the final pursuit.

Missing Cuya hoga Falls woman drew funds then vanished

Mrs Antoinette Schnabel wife of contractor Eoward Schnabel of Cuya hoga Falls disappeared Monday after drawing $400 in her name at the Falls branch of Akron Savings Bank. Her husband, aided by Marshal Miles Evans, found a tip leading toward D McGibbon Alliance who had left Falls recently. McGibbon, 28, educated yet a former tramp, had lived with the Schnabels. The case remains unresolved as officials and the public speculate on motive and whereabouts. Weather noted cooler Thursday with fair conditions.

Shelby center Holly Morse dies after freight incident

Shelby Aug 6 Holly Morse Shelby's football center was knocked out yesterday morning and died an hour later after attempting to board a fast freight to reach Chicago Junction. He spent the day with six parents and his last words were Don't tell my father and mother. Morse was a young man of splendid habits and well liked.

Bandits Loot Express Car Near Marcus After Hold Up

A Chicago to Minneapolis express on the Chicago Burlington & Quincy was robbed eight miles from Marcus. Bandits dynamited the express car, stole sacks of silver coins and jewelry valued at about $21,000, and fled on horseback. One bandit was killed. Pursuit by railroad detectives followed, with several suspects and a fatality among the gang. The incident occurred late at night as the train halted after torpedo signals.

Derrick derailed at Americ an Cereal Co plant injures no one

A large derrick 80 feet high toppled from the rear of the mill as a heavy hoist load broke stay wires. The 12 30 pm crash caused no deaths, minor roof and window damage, and the crowd swelled to about 500 with live wire fears. No injuries reported.
