King Leopold II faced a hostile mob of socialists in Brussels as his car was surrounded at the station. Supporters waved red flags shouting for a republic and universal suffrage while the Spaniards departed, and the king narrowly escaped by briefly reversing his route before leaving the area.
Nelson Traster, employed as a clerk, told police he was held up by two masked men on South Summit Street at 10 Tuesday night and robbed of $3 in change. They forced him to the ground, searched him, and one revolver was shown. they considered stealing a gold watch but returned it, warning him to stay indoors and not alarm anyone. The incident followed his walk from East Market Street toward Third Ward, and he reported the matter Wednesday morning.

Plans for a library and art gallery are elaborate and will begin soon after his return from a proposed trip to Waray.
Maud Devwitt Talomge, daughter of Rev Dr Talmage, and Clarence Proderick Wyenot of Ihnen, N. , were married today at the bride’s parents’ home in Weallington. The ceremony was performed by Rev Frank Towtt Talmage of Chicago with only relatives and close friends in attendance. The couple departed for a wedding tour after the event.
A Columbus special reports Senator Wirt of Mahoning delaying the Akron Youngstown government bill in the Senate until the Pugh-Kibler will is disposed of. The measure, due to come up Thursday, is expected to be aided or tracked and action anticipated then. The bill would appoint two Akron commissioners named by the Mayor who will also serve on the board.
