Washington April 6 Gov armor Allen and his family arrived this morning and said the civil government of Puerto Rico is firmly established with prosperity for planters. Chardon April 6. The alleged bank robbers had a preliminary hearing this morning. Cashier Smith identified a number of coins found on the prisoners as coins kept in the bank. Detective Jake Lehrer of Cleveland attended the trial and identified the older man but declined to name him.
Dr John McComb a prominent physician was today found not guilty by a jury in Judge Campbells court of causing the death last August of Bertha Shafer by a criminal operation. The case drew great local attention in Mansfeld C on April 6 Spl.
In New York at dawn Chas Shaw and Goo Denton of Brooklyn dueled with pistols at Third and Wrarensts. Six shots were fired. Shaw was only slightly wounded, while Denton is expected to die.
