Judge Denies Justice To Woman In Shorts

Charleston County Family Court Judge Paul Garfinkel refused to hear Dolores Daniel in a no fault divorce because she wore culottes. He imposed a dress code that bans shorts over the knee for attorneys and litigants entering his courtroom. Daniel said she found the rule offensive and sought to proceed with the hearing.
