Aiken's Makin opens at the Municipal Building with industrial exhibits on Park Avenue and arts and crafts on Laurens and Richland Avenues. Return of long lost uncle thrills Graniteville family
Ruth Lake and her relatives welcomed James Holmes, 86, back to Graniteville after 74 years away. Holmes left at age 12 to roam the country and later settled in Bradley, Florida with his wife, daughter, and grandson. He arrived Sept. 14 and stayed through Sunday, sharing memories of travels and family history.
