Charles Underwood 73 left a Southside home improvement store in Aiken and was found about 225 miles away in Brantley County Georgia uninjured. Deputies learned via NCIC he was missing and alerted local police. The family met him at the Brantley County Police station after the stop.

Aiken County Council set a new current fiscal year millage rate at 70.5 mills through June 30 2006 an increase of four mills raising taxes by about 6.015 percent For a $100 000 home the owner would pay about $282 in county taxes up from $266 a year ago excluding school and municipal taxes.
