Aiken Public Safety Director Pete Frommer warns that complacency invites more crime. Sand River erosion project planned in Hitchcock Woods
The City of Aiken and the Hitchcock Foundation approve a major plan to curb Sand River erosion in Hitchcock Woods. A 10 foot pipe will divert runoff from South Boundary for about 7,500 feet, delivering clearer water toward Barton's Pond as a dam is rebuilt and a silt filter installed.
