Aiken Couple Surrenders Weapons After Convictions

An Aiken couple convicted of domestic violence surrendered shells and six rifles and shotguns to public safety officers. Police investigated suspicious activity at their Peacock Drive home and learned of their prohibited possession status. Nearby, thefts and underage drinking incidents were reported, with various items stolen and several arrests made.

Windsor man charged in self-inflicted shooting incident

Rincon Trejo Fortunato, 27, was charged with pointing and presenting a firearm after an argument Saturday night at a Palmetto Circle residence led to him being shot in the left pinkie. A Taurus 9 mm pistol was recovered. EMS transported Fortunato to the Medical College of Georgia.
