Isabel leaves trail of damage and deaths across mid Atlantic

Hurri cane Isabel knocked out power to more than 5.5 million homes and businesses before weakening to a tropical low. Man on the hunt for success in deer hunting

Kyle Letbetter a 20 year old quadriplegic from Beech Island will pursue a deer hunt at the National Wild Turkey Federation event in Edgefield in early November. Volunteers Phil Atkinson Cassie Robinson and Micah Boylston are funding and designing a custom gun mount to enable his hunting.

Local man dies in I 20 three vehicle wreck

An area man was pronounced dead at the scene after a Friday I-20 three vehicle collision near mile 11. The driver of the 1993 Chevrolet pickup was ejected and not wearing a seatbelt. Kenneth Roberson, 45, drove the Ford pickup involved. no other injuries were life threatening. The coroner will release the deceased’s name.
