BLOTTER From Aiken County deputies report break ins and incidents
Aiken County reports include a Windsor man seeing two suspects flee after a vehicle break in near Cedar Branch, a Woodchuck Way victim with leg and head injuries, and an assault on a woman on Red Tip Lane. Additional seizures include theft from cars on Clemson Drive, a diamond loss on Silver Bluff Road, marijuana possession on Langley Dam Road, and multiple vehicle and home burglaries across Aiken Jackson Warrenville Beech Island and surrounding areas. Local arrests include a Langley suspect for marijuana, a Washington Circle beer bottle assault, and a Richland Avenue public drunkenness case. A North Augusta incident involved a mother’s vehicle theft, and driving under the influence on Whiskey Road.
Newborn Harmed by Maternal Drug Use Reported
Aiken County deputies responded to a area hospital after doctors found opiates amphetamine and cocaine in a newborn. The baby was sent to a Georgia hospital. The mother 34 said she used heroin before birth. Social Services notified. The infant remained unnamed as of Thursday.
