DHEC warnings issued over Ranson care home allegations
Nancy Brown and Sandra Belcher, daughters of Carmen Brou, prompted an investigation by DSS and DHEC into the Ranson elderly residence. Reports allege restricted calls, lack of staff, improper meals, and mentally ill residents kept in confinement with a move from a log cabin to a brick house on Brookhaven Drive. Resident fears of retaliation and potential civil suits by Brou family emerge amid repeated inspections and notices.
