Rep Barrett of South Carolina visited Aiken to collect relief items for Katrina survivors in Alabama. A hurricane relief center at Hobby Lobby will again gather supplies today from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Monday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Barrett said the effort grew after learning of Jo Bonner’s district devastation and that two to three communities were wiped out. One truckload has been delivered and more aid is planned.
