Smithfield recalls 208600 pounds of ground beef for possible E coli
Moyer Packing of Souderton Pennsylvania owned by Smithfield Foods recalled 208,600 pounds of ground beef after tests indicated E coli contamination. The beef produced August 31 was shipped to stores across Pennsylvania Connecticut Florida Georgia Maryland Massachusetts New Jersey New York Rhode Island Virginia West Virginia and Washington DC. Smithfield spokesman David Bartlett urged customers to contact retailers if they bought recalled product.
