TVA seeks Watts Bar as tritium source under NRC amends
The Energy Department plans to use commercial reactors to produce tritium by 2005 and TVA proposes Watts Bar and the Bellefonte site in Alabama as new sources. NRC says activities can be conducted without public health risks. Savannah River options and accelerator plans are also considered.
