Hanna Drenches Aiken County After Storm Lands
Remnants of Tropical Storm Hanna drenched Aiken County on Saturday with 3.5 inches of rain easing a four year drought. Flash flood watches were in place as storms moved through the CSRA with heavy rain and high winds. Forecasters predicted more showers and thunderstorms with highs in the mid 80s. The rain helped reduce wildfire threats, lifting a Red Flag Alert and aiding crews in cooling a roughly 250 acre Graniteville to Aiken blaze.
