Aiken TEC Expands as Mindful Growth Drives Tech Education
Aiken Technical College has grown from a former post office site to an 88 acre campus along US Highway 1, expanding its programs to match 22 identified job fields. President Ashley J. Little says the aim is to align training with regional job opportunities and retain students in the CSRA. The college reports about 1,800 fulltime students last fall and a 90 percent placement rate, with training partnerships across local industries and funding from student fees, county support, and state funds.
