Residential plans eyed for lot across from The Willcox
Property at 117 Colleton Ave across from The Willcox hotel, torn down Aug. 25 due to safety hazards, will remain a residential site. Owner Geoff Ellis plans future development with three town homes or a house and town home in harmony with the neighborhood and will seek Design Review Board approval before starting construction.

Caiden's Charity Golf Classic debuts to aid pediatric brain cancer
The CAM Fund golf tournament at Woodside Plantation raised money for pediatric brain cancer research. More than 50 players joined the event started by Mark and Terri Rettig after their grandson Caiden Ash Murray died in 2014. The fund allocates all proceeds to research, with additional support from an Autumn Gala and prize raffles. Mark plans an annual event and will run the Chicago Marathon in October to boost donations via CrowdRise.
