Flags fly over Aiken high schools for POW MIA remembrance
The Aiken County Board of Education approved flying POW MIA flags at area high schools on Friday. Volunteers from Vietnam Veterans Chapter No 544 donate the flags to educate students about sacrifices of service members who did not return home. Chair Dr John B Bradley opposed the observance citing concern over endorsing a social cause. he was the lone vote against the action. Counsel will review for conflicts before finalizing policy.
