Pink Sunday reminder links churches to breast cancer education
Sunday September 30 is the deadline for churches to register to participate in Pink Sunday services on October 21 as part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Susan G. Komen for the Cure teams with Savannah River Cancer Foundation to provide free educational materials to church representatives. The packets include celebration ideas. Saturday September 29 offers a free morning of adult and teen mini classes at the Aiken Center for the Arts, with instructors Gretchen Hash-Heffner, Michelle Petty, Sharon Taylor Padgett, Nanette Langner, and Gary Smith teaching drawing, clay, painting, and weaving.
