Vietnam jetliner crash near Bangkok kills at least 74
A Vietnam Airlines TU-134 attempting to land in a severe storm crashed in a rice field near Fa Kam village, about four miles from Don Muang Airport. The air force said 74 people died and six officials were seriously injured. The flight had departed Hanoi at 10 a.m. local time. Names and items from the crash site included passports and diplomatic mail. The total onboard count was not immediately known.
