Chauncey Gemayel Hampton, 32, faces mistreating adults and children charges after a North Augusta Publix security incident. A deputy reported Hampton laid on the floor looks up a woman’s dress before being restrained. He posted bond and was released the same day.
Public Safety officers stopped an older Chevrolet Caprice on Edgefield Road Friday night. Driver Abin Lee Lowman was arrested on a U S marshals hold and Steven Watson James Jr was charged with multiple gun and drug offenses after narcotics and a stolen pistol were found in the vehicle. Both men were held at the Aiken County detention center with no bond information available. James is due in court at 10 a m.

Gravat Detention Center for Sept 25 with charges including failure to pay child support, driving under suspension, assault and battery, drug offenses, open container, fraudulent activity, and bench warrants.
