City fills two upper management posts in Aiken
City Manager John Klimm announces the hiring of Michelle Shepherd as Public Works director and Ryan Bland as planning director. Shepherd comes from the South Carolina Department of Transportation with 17 years in DOT and regional road project experience including York Street bridge. Bland was recruited from the western United States to lead planning efforts.
