Duffy Praises Roberts In 12 Year Old Fries Case Debate
Columbia Charleston lawyer Brian Duffy argues Supreme Court nominee John Roberts was tough but fair in a high profile D C Circuit ruling. Duffy, plaintiff in Ansche Hedgepeth v. District of Columbia, contends the 12 year old was illegally arrested for eating a french fry in a Metro station. Roberts ruled against the teen, citing Metro policy changes after the case and noting the public scrutiny that followed.
