Security Federal Bank to open two Augusta branches
Security Federal Bank announces two new full service branches in Augusta. One at 1807 Walton Way in the medical district and another at 1199 Broad Street in the Downtown Historic District, both slated to open in early 2019 subject to regulators. The Broad Street site dates to 1924 and was once a first branch for Georgia Railroad Bank & Trust.

Woman charged with burglary and assault in Wagenee
A Wagenee woman, Sherrie Renee Perkins, 32, of Holley Street, was charged with first degree burglary, third degree assault and battery, and malicious injury to personal property after allegedly entering a home on Triangle Drive Friday with a stick and assaulting a 28-year-old resident. Deputies took Perkins to the Aiken County detention center, where she remains held.
