Lancaster attorneys sue the sheriff to recover five video poker machines and about $6,000 seized in a raid at Tripp's Convenience Store. Divers Find Body Of Drowning Victim At Lake Marion

An 18 year old man Eugene Glover of St Matthews drowned while swimming with friends on Lake Marion during Labor Day. Sgt Gregg Smith of the Natural Resources Department said he may have entered deep water and failed to swim as well as he thought. In Anderson Ar a Williamston man Channing Richard Martin was found on a rural road with fatal injuries not from a car. Autopsy indicated beating possible, authorities say.
