Robert Dennis Dixon of Oak Course Road was charged with first degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor for an assault reported January 17 2013 at a Beech Island home. He was detained at the Aiken County Detention Center after a witness saw him flee and a bystander struck him with a bat.
Two juvenile females were detained for disorderly conduct after a patrol officer found them rolling and punching on Charleston Street near Colleton Avenue. The foster mother nearby said she could not intervene. Both girls were booked and released to their foster caretaker. a case worker will follow up.
Aiken Public Safety logs show two 14-year-old North Augusta girls detained after attempting to steal 80 dollars of merchandise on Richland Avenue. Other incidents include shoplifting by adults on York Street and electronic theft on Barnard Avenue, plus multiple DUI, assault, burglary, and vehicle-related reports across Aiken and surrounding areas. Police also logged gunfire reports and vehicle break-ins on several streets.
