MOX requests extension for Savannah River MOX facility
The Shaw AREVA MOX Services contractor seeks a 10 year extension of the NRC construction authorization for the Mixed Oxide Fuel Fabrication Facility at Savannah River Site from March 30, 2015, to March 30, 2025. The request cites being a first of its kind facility, funding shortfalls, worker shortages, and a two year start delay.
