Old Time Horse Farmers Gathering in Blackville

The Annual Old Time Horse Farmers Gathering will be held Sept. 25-26 at the Edisto Research Center in Blackville. Demonstrations of old-fashioned field work with horses and equipment, horse parade, petting farm, wagon rides, corn processing, and a lunch stand by Calvary Fellowship Mennonite School. Admission $3 adults $1 students. From Aiken take US 78 east to Blackville. center is on the right. For info call Cindy Flowers or Steve Meadows.

Community Programs at Weeks Center Promote Health and Arts

Aiken residents can join a fall schedule of arts and fitness classes at the H.O. Weeks Center. Highlights include Mark Rothstein leading a drug prevention program with a walking track finale, plus karate for kids and adults, line dancing, stained glass mosaics, storytime in the gardens, tai chi, tennis lessons, watercolor for beginners, and Make a Difference Day volunteer events.
