Fashions Dress Stage For Cancer Benefit
The American Cancer Society's Fall Fashions 80 showcased the latest fall styles in purples burgundies and greys. The Fleetwood Professional Models presented looks while local youths and seniors modeled. A sold out crowd of 500 attended the benefit with a post show reception hosted by Dr and Mrs R P von Buedingen.

Exhibit And Lecture Planned For USC A
Maria Milivojevic will discuss 25 oil and oil pastel paintings tonight at 8 p.m. in a public lecture and reception sponsored by the USC Aiken Faculty Fine Arts Committee and University Artists Union in the Student Activities Center. Her work on display through Sept 19 explores man's place in the universe and human impotence before forces of nature.

What’s Going On What’s Going On 1980 81 Year Begin
Town and Country starts its 1980 81 season on Thursday at 10 a.m. The fall hobbies and interest groups will present a humorous take on national politics. Nancy Hansen will speak on aerobic dancing. Sewing classes for teens begin Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at the North Augusta Parks and Recreation Department. Senior citizens meet Thursdays 1 to 4 p.m. at the North Augusta Recreation Center. Lions Club of Aiken and South Carolina Lions Light Conservation Association bring a Lions eye screening unit to Kalmia Plaza Wednesday through Friday starting at 1 p.m. Free screenings for visual acuity and glaucoma.
