Fourth suspect surrenders in Crosland Park shooting case
The third of four suspects, Stacey Croft, 17, surrendered to Aiken Public Safety and was arrested. Ernest Croft, 19, remains sought as investigators say a drive by at 1415 Aldrich St. involved four males firing a handgun. no injuries reported.

South Carolina 40&8 Hero of the Year honors to John Strang
John Strang receives the 2009 South Carolina 40&8 Hero of the Year award from state officers Grand Chef de Train Terry Watson and Grand Cheminal Neil Freeman. Strang saved 2-year-old Byron Murray from drowning by performing CPR in July 2008 until the child breathed again. The Aiken/Barnwell/Edgefield unit Voiture 1177 nominated him. Strang is an Army Reservist with two Iraq tours and a third planned.
