The Friday deadline ends absentee voting for the Republican City Council Primary in Aiken. Voting is at the Aiken County Registration and Elections office at 916 Vaucluse Road until 4 p.m. The office closes for Labor Day. Residents of the City of Aiken may vote. As of Tuesday, nearly 200 had voted absentee. the count may reach 300 by Friday. Eligibility includes 65 plus, being out of town, or work conflicts. See scvotes.org for details.
