Sparrow Rescue by Aiken Teen Captures Hearts
Aiken High freshman Diana Day saved a featherless baby sparrow found on a Virginia park track. With help from local hawk expert Jim Bouknight, she fed the chick every half hour, later three times daily, and trained it to fly. Diana hopes to release it back to the wild or keep it in a yard home.
