David Wilbur Green Jr. 42 of Minter Street Bath was detained on three counts of possession of a Schedule I controlled substance one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine unlawful possession of a firearm and criminal domestic violence after a foot chase from a Vaucluse Road collision. He was placed in the Aiken County detention center Thursday morning.
The 36th annual Whiskey Road Race on November 8 funds the Cumbee Center to Assist Abused Persons. Events include a 2 mile, 10K and Tot Trot with USA Track and Field certified courses. Registration ranges from 10 to 45 dollars, ends November 5, or 5 dollars higher on race day. race starts at H Odell Weeks Activities Center in Aiken.

A 22 year old North Augusta woman was charged with shoplifting at Aiken Mall after attempting to take two handbags and a purse without paying. An unknown man shoplifted eight pairs of jeans from a store in Aiken Mall. Coin machines were broken into at a car wash on East Pine Log Road with money stolen. A Columbia man reported fraud from unauthorized debit card transactions. A 14 year old Aiken boy reported his cellphone stolen from Ai ken High School. Vehicle break ins occurred on Laurel Drive and Royal Pine Drive with missing items including wallets knives cologne and a photo and three firearms. A moped was stolen from Slater Circle in Gloverville. Burglaries occurred on Stadium Circle Warrenville Heathwood Drive Fairview Avenue Willow Lane and Jackson Avenue. Additional vehicle break ins were reported on Pleasant Point Drive Avondale Lane Catawba Street Bob White Drive and other locations in Aiken Warrenville and North Augusta with multiple firearms reported missing. Vehicles were stolen from Ashton Pointe Drive Edgefield Road and Victoria Drive in North Augusta.
