North Augusta Public Safety asks the public to identify a woman who allegedly ran from officers after taking dog supplies from a Wal Mart. She fled with a young child in a tan Chevy Monte Carlo toward US 1 before the chase ended. Call Officer Howard at 803-279-2121 with any tips.
The Aiken County Sheriff's Office reports the Tuesday capture of Brandon Meyer, 22, of 363 Nickletop Road, on warrants from a February 2014 domestic assault incident involving a pregnant 19 year old and a 1 year old. Meyer faces two counts of second degree assault and battery two counts of criminal violence of a high and aggravated nature and domestic criminal violence. In a separate case, Louis Johnson, 27, of 170 Liberty Hill Road, was taken into custody on Tuesday on charges of criminal domestic violence malicious injury to personal property and two counts of pointing or presenting a firearm at a person for a June 2014 incident involving a 19 year old Aiken woman. The victim said Johnson threatened to kill her and the child and used a firearm during the dispute. Police observed marks on the victim and other injuries.

Names include Jennifer Dowell Colleen Bailey Robert Butterworth Sefferino Quattlebaum Cindy Rearden Doonta Cole man Durell Cooper Eric Mace Julia Clemons Margaret Hankinson Derrick Lawrence Linzey Abney Lyle Sanders. Charges range from shoplifting and assault to drug offenses and hold warrants.
Reports from the Aiken County Sheriff's Office describe a series of thefts and assaults including a 23 year old boyfriend allegedly stealing a car while the owner slept on Rock Creek Road and a 34 year old woman confronted by an armed man on Morgan Street. Deputies report intoxication in several cases and police respond to vandalism and shoplifting across Aiken Graniteville Warrenville Laurens area.
The Langley Bath Clear Water Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Midland Valley Lions Club in Bath. Guest speakers Pierre Van Fossin and Doug Greene, local collectors of the Horse Creek Area, will discuss Indian and early railroad artifacts.
